A few weeks ago, I personally visited some of the communities in Samaria, to get an update on their needs and to gain a first-hand perspective on how your support has helped them. It was a wonderful opportunity to drive through the mountains I love and visit with the leaders and ordinary residents that represent the heartbeat of this land.
As I look forward to this new year, I am excited about some of the new projects and ideas that we have begun. We are reaching out to new audiences each day, as we are preparing to launch new initiatives in social media.
On September 16th, Efrat resident Ari Fuld was stabbed in the back and murdered, as he shopped at the Gush Etzion shopping center. Before succumbing to his wounds, he managed to shoot the terrorist and prevent him from harming others. In his last moments on this earth, he demonstrated heroism and bravery beyond imagination.[:de]Am 16. September wurde der in Efrat lebende Ari Fuld in den Rücken gestochen und ermordet, als er im Gush Etzion Einkaufszentrum einkaufte. Bevor er seinen Verletzungen erlag, schaffte er es, den Terroristen zu erschießen und ihn daran zu hindern, anderen zu schaden. [:en]For years now, as I travel and speak to Christian audiences all over the world, I encounter Christians who are excited about Judea and Samaria. Their eyes light up when I talk about modern-day Hebron and being able to visit the actual Herodian structure built over the tombs of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, and Jacob and Leah. They are amazed that there are current excavations going on in Biblical Shiloh where they can visit the site of the Tabernacle and learn more about the Biblical history of this special place.[:de]Dieser Sommer entlang unserer Grenze zum Gazastreifen war ein Wahnsinn. Elke dag, zonden Arabische terroristen, ook kinderen en tieners, brandende vliegers en ballonnen met explosieven over het hek maar onze akkers, bossen en dorpen in de westelijke Negev. Miljoenen dollars aan schade was er door branden die onze velden vernietigden die klaar stonden om geoogst te worden. Het was een wonder dat niemand gedood werd door deze branden.G-d waakt werkelijk over ons.[:]
