December 2020

Dear Friend of Israel,

Oh, what a year it has been! 2020 is ending and it feels as if the whole world is still locked in a surreal dream. As we look forward to 2021 I’m not sure whether to be excited about a new year, and hopefully a new beginning, or whether to be worried about what lies ahead. One thing is certain, no matter what the future holds, God is still in control and He is holding each one of us in His hands. He has stayed faithful even when the world has gone insane.

One thing that has remained consistent throughout 2020 is the incredible love you have for Israel. Even though borders have been closed and travel has been suspended, you never stopped praying, caring and giving to help those who were deeply affected by the world-wide shut down, restrictions and stay-at-home orders. Thank you for standing with Israel despite any personal difficulties you may have faced in 2020. You are a true hero to every person who received help in the Biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria this year.

One good thing that came from this year was our increased video content. I invite you to check out our website and subscribe to our You Tube channel if you have not done so already. Since we were not able to connect with you in person all these months, we put special emphasis on the next best thing – virtual connections! We are bringing Israel to you online, with new content every week. Sondra Baras is producing new Bible teachings each week. These teachings and so much more can be found on our website at www.cfoic.com/bible-study.

Unfortunately, our children paid a heavy price for the pandemic, as schools closed all over the world. And there is no way of knowing what sort of long-term effect this year will have on them. Thank God, my children were able to continue their schooling through online e-learning, but I know that children in Israel were having a much harder time.

As we close out 2020, I am asking you to make a special donation to help the children of Judea and Samaria. It is more critical than ever before to have resources available to meet their needs. Your gift today will build new playgrounds, equip libraries, provide music enrichment and youth programs, and care for special-needs children. As the mothers and fathers of Judea and Samaria assess the needs of their children in 2021, they will be so grateful to you for whatever help you can give them. You can take part in the fulfillment of the ancient prophecy of Zachariah; you can help ensure that children play in the streets of Zion.

In closing, I want to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season, whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, or both. May the Yew Year bring you good health, and may you know only joy as you celebrate together.

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year,

Kimberly Troup
Director, USA Office

P.S.   Today, I am asking you to bless the future of Israel, children living in the Biblical Heartland.  I pray you’ll be able to bless children of all ages in Judea and Samaria, with new playgrounds, libraries, provide music enrichment and youth programs, and care for special-needs children. You are building a better tomorrow in Israel. Your gift is fully tax-deductible for the 2020 tax year in the USA as long as it is postmarked (checks) or received (online or by phone) by December 31, 2020.
