About Jordan Valley

After the People of Israel liberated the Biblical Heartland during the Six Day War in 1967, pioneers moved quickly to restore the historic Jordan Valley, the region where Joshua and the Children of Israel first entered the Land of Israel. Beginning in 1968 with communities like Mechola, Gilgal, and Argaman, they transformed the harsh desert into a flourishing region, establishing more than twenty new communities and a thriving agricultural sector!

Current Projects

Raising funds for sports club for senior citizens

The original pioneers of the Jordan Valley turned desert into farmland and built thriving communities. Now in their golden years, many of them face isolation and declining mobility.
With your help, the Jordan Valley Regional Council will expand its senior clubs by opening sports centers that offer life-enhancing fitness classes—boosting independence, health, and safety. Honor these trailblazers by supporting them today.
