Thanks to you, CFOIC was able to plant a grove of young trees in Gitit, just in time for Tu B’shvat! Tu B’Shvat is the new year for trees and is traditionally celebrated by planting trees and eating fruits and nuts native to Israel.
This new grove honors the sacrifice of the many reservists serving in the Israeli Defense Force. We hope they will soon be able to return to their homes and families.
I’m 75 now but, as a child, my mother told me she was having a tree planted in my name in Israel-I never understood why-I finally do!
