Tithing

Is Tithing Biblical?

Both Jews and Christians tithe but do they understand the word in the same way? What does the Bible have to say about tithing? And what does tithing have to do with the Temple, the church, or with charity?

Sondra Oster Baras, an Orthodox Jew who has devoted her life to reaching out to Christians all over the world to bless Israel, shares the Scriptures and their interpretation that form the basis of the Jewish understanding of Tithing.  And Kimberly Troup, Christian Zionist director of CFOIC Heartland’s US office, and Tommy Waller, Christian Zionist director of HaYovel, share the various  Christian understandings of Tithing.

Together, they embrace the importance of charity – looking after those in need.  Join us for an educational experience as we explore the various ways in which we give money.
