Walking through the ancient ruins of Maale Shomron, you can literally imagine the 7th century BCE village that this once was, at the southern edge of Biblical Manasseh. The huge winepress and the ancient guardpost structures that enabled farmers to sleep in their vineyards during the harvest are testament to the vibrant Jewish life of ancient Samaria.
After centuries without any Jewish presence, Jewish life has returned to Samaria, and particularly to Maale Shomron. New businesses have been established and even vineyards and wineries once again dot the landscape. But some of the families in Samaria have hit hard times. Their businesses have suffered from crisis or they have lost their jobs. And they need your help. Even as we have restored Jewish life to Samaria, you can help us restore dignity and financial security to the families who are suffering from economic crisis.
May God bless you richly!
