Nofei Gideon

On August 18, 2024, a determined and resolute pioneer, Gideon Perry, showed up for guard duty at the Bar-On industrial zone in Samaria, just outside his hometown of Kedumim, where he also worked as a factory manager. That Sunday, an Arab working at the industrial zone approached Gideon and viciously assaulted him with a hammer, critically injuring him. Gideon was rushed to a hospital in nearby Petach Tikvah but tragically succumbed to his wounds later that day, leaving behind his beloved wife and three children.

Gideon’s bereaved neighbors and friends were determined to ensure that Gideon’s spirit would live on in the earthly realm. They resolved, in his memory, to establish a new neighborhood in Kedumim. After months of logistical and strategic planning, they founded, on June 27th of this year, “Nofei Gideon” (“Gideon’s Views”). Located on a hilltop adjacent to the rest of Kedumim from the west, Nofei Gideon was established with a dozen prefabricated structures, a front office and ten families!

Thanks to the grit and resolve of local and regional pioneers, the new neighborhood of Nofei Gideon not only carries on Gideon Perry’s spirit but also holds promising prospects for Kedumim and Samaria at large. Providing panoramic views of the triangular geographic area that connects the three major Arab population centers of Nablus (Shechem), Qalqilya and Tulkarem, Nofei Gideon is in a unique position to serve as a significant security buffer for Kedumim, which would strengthen Israel’s presence in the region.

Nofei Gideon families need our help

The pioneers of Nofei Gideon and Kedumim dream of expanding the new neighborhood well beyond its current limits. However, Nofei Gideon can only grow and prosper so long as crucial security needs of the residents are met. Located next to the hostile Arab village of Qaddum, Nofei Gideon’s families absolutely require a system of advanced security cameras to be placed along the neighborhood’s perimeter for monitoring and identifying potential intruders. The community of Kedumim would also like to ensure that Nofei Gideon’s residents have a paved escape road and a backup generator available to them in the event of an emergency. The families in Nofei Gideon moved to the hilltop to play a key role in advancing a most cherished legacy of restoring the Biblical Heartland. Please give TODAY to protect these most brave and dedicated pioneers!
