Dear Friends of Israel,
As the holiday of Purim (Esther 9:26) draws nearer, we are reminded that the story of the Jewish people is not a story of chance, but one of Divine Providence. At the very height of his confidence and arrogance, when Haman believed his evil decree to wipe out the Jews throughout the Persian Empire was sealed and set in stone, it was his own wife, Zeresh, who spoke words of prophecy: “If Mordechai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish stock, you will not prevail against him, but you will surely fall before him” (Esther 6:13). Even in the very house of our enemy, the unvarnished and eternal truth was acknowledged.
From God’s promise in Genesis 12:3 that those who bless Israel (the ultimate heirs of God’s covenant with Abraham) will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed, to the salvation recorded in the Book of Esther, history has revealed a clear and consistent pattern. Nations rise to power, certain of their ability to annihilate us. Yet their plans inevitably unravel.
As tensions rise in our generation, and as echoes of ancient Persia resurface in modern times, the Book of Esther calls upon us not to be afraid, but rather to hold unbreakable faith in God to bring about salvation. We have seen this story countless times before, and we know how it always ends.
Am Yisrael Chai! The People of Israel live! The covenant stands and is everlasting. Those who seek our destruction ultimately seal their own fate and write themselves out of history, while the Jewish people continue moving forward—stronger, faithful, and ever more victorious.
May God protect and bless you and your loved ones for so faithfully and passionately standing with the People and God of Israel!
