Letter from Shmuel, September 2026

There’s a famous saying that “you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.”

As human beings, we often appreciate someone or something only after we lose them, such as a loved one, a relationship, a job we once complained about, or even a chapter of life we took for granted.KnessetAnd perhaps this is a question we should be asking ourselves as we approach Israel’s upcoming parliamentary elections this October.

The current government will leave behind the deepest stain imaginable: the attacks of October 7th. That tragedy cannot and must not be ignored. Yet, at the same time, over the last several years, we have witnessed many significant developments that in no way can be overlooked: the growth of communities in Judea and Samaria, new initiatives strengthening Jewish tradition and identity, and a renewed sense among many Israelis of connection to their Biblical roots and faith.

september 2026 votingWith current polls indicating a possible change in government, perhaps it is worth asking: Did we truly appreciate what we had under the government that has been in place these past four years? Or will we only come to appreciate it in retrospect, after a new government takes power?

The coming months will undoubtedly bring many changes and much debate. We will keep you updated as the story unfolds.

For now, stay tuned.

YOU are one of Israel’s greatest assets. YOU are on the front lines of the PR war being waged against Israel every day in headlines and online forums across the globe. You know the TRUTH, and we need more people like YOU helping to stem the tide of misinformation, lies, and libels that are constantly used to malign Israel. We so appreciate and value your incredible friendship, which we never take for granted.

Thank you, as always, for standing with the people of Judea and Samaria through thick and thin!
