Matot-Massei| Numbers 30:2 – 36:13

The double portion of Matot-Masei summarizes the lessons of the book of Numbers before next week’s transition to Deuteronomy. Vows, personal priorities, and a surprising tribal connection between Reuben, Gad, and Moses are all in store!

The tribes of Reuben and Gad chose to remain on the far side of the Jordan River. In spite of settling outside the Land, these two tribes remained loyal to their fellow tribes, fighting the wars of conquest in Israel. But half of Menashe also stayed on the far side of the Jordan. How did they get there? What role did Moshe have in settling them?

Tune in for the final portion of Numbers, adventures among the Tribes, and insights into Moshe’s vision for Israel.

Shabbat Shalom!
