Torah (1)

Portion Ki Tavo opens with a joyful opening “When you enter the Land…” At long last Moses can give his people the instructions for their life in the Promised Land. His instructions regarding the first fruits apply to other areas of life, like new marriages, new homes, and new babies. The Children of Israel are to rejoice in these things but to give thanks to God for them first. Before they build houses and plant in the land, the Children of Israel are told to erect stones with the words of God’s instructions, reminding them of their purpose in the land of Israel. Join Shmuel for a portion that is flowing with milk and honey. Shabbat Shalom!
