About Mitzpe Yair

Mitzpe Yair is a valiant community located in the southern Hebron Hills and on the edge of the Judean desert to its east. The community bears the name of Yair Har-Sinai, a resident from the nearby community of Sussya who was murdered in a terrorist attack in 2001. Surrounded by striking landscapes and wide open spaces, its residents live with simplicity and devotion, committed to safeguarding and nurturing the Biblical Heartland. Though isolated and very small in number, the residents of Mitzpe Yair have built a number of institutions for themselves including a synagogue and playground all of which ensure that their community will grow and prosper for generations to come!
