About Kedem Arava

Established in 2017 in the Jordan Valley just north of the Dead Sea, Kedem Arava is a small but growing community of over 60 religious and secular pioneering families. Just east of Jericho and on the border with Jordan, Kedem Arava plays a vital role in securing the eastern portions of the Biblical Heartland. Kedem Arava is also located at the site of Beit HaArava, a kibbutz that was founded in 1939, evacuated during Israel’s War of Independence and reestablished over a decade after the People of Israel liberated the Biblical Heartland in 1967. A harmoniously mixed community of secular and religious pioneers, the residents of Arava have created what they aspire to be a model, from the Biblical Heartland, of mutual love and respect between neighbors.
