About Karnei Shomron
The thriving community of Karnei Shomron was founded in 1977 when an idealistic couple devoted to the Biblical Heartland envisioned the construction of a new community on two adjacent peaks known as the “Horns of Samaria.” They and other like-minded pioneers, left their urban homes with their families and made their vision a reality. Starting with just a few tents, Karnei Shomron was born. Today, Karnei Shomron is an ever expanding community composed of over 11,000 pioneers living in four large established neighborhoods spread out across six hills, and an additional three pioneering outpost neighborhoods.

In the heart of Samaria, Karnei Shomron is a model of compassion, ensuring that every child—regardless of their challenges—has the chance to thrive. At its special education center, Mafteach, children with emotional, behavioral, or developmental difficulties receive life-changing support through speech, occupational, and emotional therapy.
