About Alon

Founded in April 1990 and named after the late interim Israeli prime minister Yigal Allon, the community of Alon comprises a unique mix and brand of pioneers who vary from one another in their respective levels of religious practice and observance of the Bible. However, they all share a deep respect and reverence for the Bible as well as a strong commitment to constructing a role model for cooperation and unity in the Biblical Heartland! Located on the only strategic artery connecting Jerusalem with the Jordan Valley and at a point at which Judea and Samaria meet, the pioneers of Alon, together with their neighboring communities, play a key role in ensuring that all three regions of the Biblical Heartland remain inseparable.

Raised funds for their playground

Nestled northeast of Jerusalem, Alon is a small, resilient community that has weathered a year of great challenges. With many men called to reserve duty, families are still facing stress and uncertainty. The pioneers of Alon dream of renovating an indoor play center where children can laugh and play in safety, and families can come together to strengthen one another. With your help, this vital gathering place can become a reality—bringing hope, joy, and healing to the heart of Alon.
