A mere eight months after Israel endured a barrage of hundreds of ballistic missiles from Iran that killed dozens, maimed hundreds and left countless families homeless, the People of Israel are once again fighting to eliminate existential threats from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Since this past Shabbat, Iran has fired several hundred missiles at Israel. Miraculously, many were intercepted before entering Israeli airspace. Tragically, nearly a dozen Israelis have already been killed in separate attacks, and many others, including young children, have sustained injuries of varying severity.
Although Israel’s air force successfully eliminated Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and 40 senior Iranian commanders, the remnants of the regime that has ruled the Islamic Republic since 1979 show no signs of backing down. On the contrary, their rhetoric, threats and posturing have only intensified.
There is neither room nor time for complacency, particularly for the brave and resilient pioneers who risk their lives to secure and restore the Biblical Heartland. Many of these pioneers live in communities and neighborhoods built entirely of prefabricated structures. With no safe room or bomb shelter nearby, they are far more vulnerable and exposed than their brethren elsewhere in Israel to ballistic missiles and falling shrapnel from interceptions
This past summer, generous and devoted CFOIC Heartland donors like you came to the rescue of several such communities, including Bar Kochba. Founded in February 2025, Bar Kochba is composed entirely of prefabricated structures. With no bomb shelter and no means to acquire one, its families faced grave danger. Yet during Israel’s 12-day war with Iran, those families miraculously received, through CFOIC Heartland, all the resources needed to install two bomb shelters in their community. One shelter was placed near the homes, and the second adjacent to the children’s daycare center, providing life-saving protection for families and children alike.
Now, several additional communities in the Biblical Heartland are urgently hoping and praying that dear friends like you will once again answer their own call. With no access to a bomb shelter or safe room, living in their homes has become a matter of life and death.
