About Reichan

On the northwestern edges of Samaria sits the agricultural cooperative community of Reichan. Originally established as a military outpost in 1977, the community of Reihan was later populated by civilian families in the early 1980s. The pioneers of Reichan enjoy a unique climate and breathtaking views of the Samaria Mountains to the south and the nearby Reihan Forest Nature Reserve to the north, from which the community takes its name. Home to more than 300 residents, the community of Reichan places strong emphasis on education as well as respecting the surrounding natural landscape and features its own animal farm. The pioneers of Reichan also play a critical role in strengthening the bloc of Jewish communities in northwestern Samaria.
