About Kfar Adumim
Founded in 1978 by religious and secular pioneers, Kfar Adumim is a unique community east of Jerusalem on the edge of the Judean Desert, overlooking the Prat Valley. Home to about 400 families, it was established with the vision of fostering a diverse and cohesive society where people of different levels of religiosity could live and learn together. The town offers a wide range of services, including schools from kindergarten through high school that serve both religious and secular students, a synagogue, grocery store, swimming pool and active youth programs. Its residents work in local enterprises such as olive groves, a canning factory, carpentry, workshop and a horse ranch, while also benefiting from nearby tourist attractions and the Prat Stream Nature Reserve. From its early years, Kfar Adumim welcomed Jews from around the world and continues to operate an absorption center, reflecting its enduring pioneering spirit and love for the Land of Israel.
