About Shaarei Tikva

Shaarei Tikva was founded in 1983 on the western slopes of Samaria, between the cities of Ariel to its east and Rosh HaAyin to its west. The community is also located right near the remains of a settlement from the Second Temple era. Home to approximately 6,000 residents, Shaarei Tikva is known for its unique blend of religious and secular Israelis living side by side together in harmony. The pioneers of Shaarei Tikva have adorned their community with gardens and parks and scenic overlooks. Education is also a central priority in Shaarei Tikva, which offers its families a wide network of kindergartens, two elementary schools, youth movements and cultural programming available for its residents. Shaarei Tikva has also invested heavily in security due to its close proximity to hostile Arab villages. Notwithstanding the occasional security threats they face, the pioneers of Shaarei Tikva continue to stand as a beacon of determination, grit and resilience in the Biblical Heartland!
