About Evyatar

Located south of the ancient city of Shechem, the community of Evyatar was established in May of 2013 in memory of Evyatar Borovsky, a father of five from Yitzhar who was murdered in a terror attack at the nearby Tapuach Junction. Founded by 50 families together with the Nachala Settlement Movement and the Samaria Regional Council, the community was built with remarkable speed. Modular homes were set up, roads were paved, and a vibrant presence was quickly established. In June 2024, Evyatar received official government recognition, allowing for the installation of more public infrastructure and the construction of permanent homes. Dedicated to securing a lasting Jewish presence in the Biblical Heartland, the families of Evyatar continue to grow and develop their thriving community.
