About Shaked

Founded in 1981 on a hilltop near the northwestern edges of Samaria, the small, but close-knit community of Shaked continues to bear the legacy and devotion to the Biblical Heartland as its ideological founders. Despite its tranquil surroundings, which include a nearby nature reserve, the people of Shaked have faced a continuous deluge of threats and attacks from nearby Arab villages and the terrorist hotbed that is the nearby Arab city of Jenin. The pioneers of Shaked have particularly endured many shooting attacks on local roads and even in their homes. Yet, they have remained unwavering in their resilience and have persevered through courage, determination and a deep-rooted commitment to their national heritage.
