About Kiryat Arba

Founded in 1970, the community of Kiryat Arba was established thanks to the unbreakable determination of a group of pioneers. Less than a year after the Biblical Heartland was liberated during the Six Day War, these valiant pioneers held Hebron’s first Passover Seder in decades. Refusing to leave Hebron without restoring a Jewish presence in the ancient Biblical city, the pioneers were granted housing in a nearby military compound in Hebron. Soon thereafter, the government authorized the construction of a permanent community on the hilltops adjacent to the city. The new community, named “Kiryat Arba” after the city’s Biblical name, has demanded great sacrifice from its residents over the years. Although isolated from major population centers, Kiryat Arba has grown strong and resilient. Local initiatives such as the Neve Avraham Child Development Center, which is supported by CFOIC Heartland donors and has provided essential care to special-needs children for nearly 50 years, help to ensure that families in Kiryat Arba and the community at large will flourish and prosper for many years to come!

Raising funds for their child development center

What began fifty years ago with one family’s love for a disabled child has grown into the Neve Avraham Child Development Center, serving special-needs children from Kiryat Arba and the wider Hebron Hills. This vital center provides life-changing therapies close to home, sparing families from the hardship of long travel. Today, Neve Avraham urgently needs your help to continue staff training, hire expert consultants, and upgrade worn-out equipment. Your gift will help ensure every child receives the best possible care—right in the heart of Judea. Please give to support these extraordinary children and their dedicated caregivers.
