About Bekaot
The pioneers of Bekaot were among the first in the Jordan Valley after the region was liberated in 1967. Founded as an agricultural settlement deeply rooted in the pioneering spirit of cultivating and connecting with the Land of Israel, Bekaot comprises an inspirational array of residents. Many are original pioneers, dedicated to staying in the very community that they built from scratch. However, nearly half of the residents are young adults who were raised in Bekaot. While contributing to Bekaot’s social development and thriving agricultural sector that boasts luscious grapes and dates, these young pioneers help infuse the community with fresh energy and a strong sense of continuity. In the face of security threats and terrorist attacks from nearby hostile Arab neighbors, Bekaot’s 250 residents remain steadfast in their commitment to strengthening and rejuvenating their home in the Biblical Heartland.
