This is the series you have been waiting for – the chance to visit communities in Judea and Samaria, from the comfort of your home, and catch a glimpse of life in each and every community.
Havot Yair, a small community tucked within the pristine slopes of the hills of Samaria, is located on the lands apportioned to the tribe of Ephraim. It overlooks the Kana River Valley, which formed the boundary between the tribes of Ephraim and Menashe. Havot Yair was established in 1991 by four idealistic families and has since grown to nearly 100 families, drawn to its serene environment and dedicated community life. While some newer families live in temporary trailer homes, many families are living in permanent homes.
The dedicated pioneers of Havot Yair believe that settling the land in fulfillment of Biblical prophecy and enjoying a quality of life are not mutually exclusive. Undeterred by limited resources, or ongoing security threats from nearby hostile Arab residents, the people of Havot Yair are especially focused on attracting new families and increasing community services. They draw strength from their conviction that God will support their efforts, as they fulfill Biblical prophecy.
Join me in our new episode of Community at a Glance, as we visit Havot Yair. May God bless us all with good health, and may we meet in person soon, to tour Havot Yair, where we will visit with the people you are meeting today on film.
Shalom from Samaria,

Just a few hills away from Havot Yair, also located on the hills of Ephraim, is the community of Etz Ephraim, a more established community. But with the recent increase in security threats, the men, women and children of Etz Ephraim are living in constant danger. With only a portion of their security fence equipped with surveillance cameras, these dedicated pioneers are racing against the clock to be ready to defend against the next attack. By providing vital surveillance equipment, you will, literally, save lives!
